The Chamber acts as a resource center for visitors and individuals interested in relocating or learning more about our community. Last year, the Chamber responded to more than 7,000 requests for visitor and relocation information. Distribute your business cards, literature and information at the Chamber at no cost. We only refer Chamber members. Chamber members also have access to member mailing lists and labels and mailing information for prospective new residents – 5200 annually!

Each member is listed alphabetically and categorically in our online and annual business directory. The Chamber distributes 5,000 copies of the annual directory each year to members, visitors, elected and community leaders, and the general community.
The Chamber partners with Isoph, a Carrboro-based online learning and technology business, to offer interactive online training exclusively for Chamber members and their employees. Classes cover everything from Web site set-up and Excel to project management and negotiating and can be taken at your convenience through the Chamber Learning Center at learning.carolinachamber.org.
Our monthly news publication updates the community on issues and events affecting the business community (circulation 15,000). Each edition includes current issues impacting the community, guest columns and business news.
Your membership is an affiliation and identification with an organization of more than 930 members that serves as the primary and most influential business advocate in our community. The Chamber uses the power of its members to advocate on their behalf.
Membership investment in the Chamber is deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense.
Continuing legislative forums throughout the year allow our members to meet and talk with elected officials at various levels of government in both formal and informal settings.

New Member Receptions are held quarterly and offer our newest members an orientation to the Chamber, the opportunity to promote their business, network with other new members and meet the Chamber staff, Board Members and Ambassadors. Two receptions during the year will be held directly before the Business After Hours event.
This annual program is sponsored by the Chamber to create a corps of informed and dedicated community leaders. The 11-week program focuses on government, economic development and growth, education, healthcare, media, crime, the University and community services.
The Chamber offers 10 lunch seminars in the Fall and Spring of each year. The seminars are presented by local professionals in a “Lunch and Learn” format. Topics include Marketing, Networking, Financial/Tax Planning, Time Management, Retirement Planning, What to Do in a Robbery, Hosting an Effective Web Site, Making it in Chapel Hill and Carrboro and many more.
Working with the Orange County Economic Development Commission, the Chamber has business reports, demographics, statistics, growth projections, survey results and other information available for use by our members.
