James Merritt

1.) My short term goal would be to focus on eradicating the distractive appearance of panhandling in the downtown area. Citizens need not to be harassed by this element of our community.
2.) I would propose offering tax incentives to employers who wish to locate here. We need employers that are looking for higher skill workforce that can afford to work and live locally.
3.) Work closely with Downtown Partnership and the Chamber of Commerce to develop a survey for the citizens of Chapel Hill. This survey would be to determine what type of services and goods that the citizens want in our community.
