when asked at the forum held on October 7:
Chamber Commentary:
As was the case in 2007 when she first ran, Penny Rich, who runs
her own personal chef service, is an enticing candidate for town council.
She is businesswoman who believes -- as does the Chamber -- that issues
facing the town should be evaluated in terms of the triple bottom
line of environmental stewardship, economic growth and social responsibility.
She is a strong proponent of economic growth and development and downtown
revitalization. The question is, when faced with equally competing
values on an issue, where would Rich be? She is a straight-forward
communicator who served for six years on the OWASA board including
as its vice chair and served on the town’s technology committee.
She is a proponent of increased transparency in town hall, not just
between the town and its residents but among certain town department
she says do not work in concert.
