1) Remove the indirect taxes on new business owners. For example, new businesses should not have to hire a consultant to check the proper operation of the closest fire hydrant. Have our full time fire department, operations group, and OWASA do this.
2) Improve the planning and approval process so that our town staff become project facilitators, not obstructionist.
3) Identify and remove or reduce the cost drivers in commercial rental lease rates in town.
