Help prevent fraud in your nonprofit
Whether you are experienced in nonprofit financial matters or interested in being introduced to the area, this discussion will provide practical guidance on financial fraud in the nonprofit environment.  Led by Brad Johnson, former nonprofit CFO and auditor, topics will include issues such as:  Who commits fraud?  Why? How is a fraud uncovered? What are some methods to help prevent fraud?   The discussion will review actual fraud cases in North Carolina and nationwide. This will not just be a theoretical discussion - real world practical advice will be provided.

Brad Johnson is an ESC consultant and has a Master's degree in accounting and 40 years of senior accounting and financial reporting experience.  He has presented at the annual not-for-profit conference of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, as well as several national trade conferences.  He is a published author on accounting and financial management topics.

Presented by Carolina National Insurance Agency, Non-Profit Roundtable (NPRT) is networking and education for non-profits, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month.
