About the cause: Transplanting Traditions Community Farm (TTCF) is a project of the Orange County Partnership for Young Children. This venture parcels farm land to refugees from Burma, teaches them to successfully farm in our temperate climate, and empowers them to sell their produce through a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and through local farmers? markets. TTCF is not a hand-out, it is a hand-up. The money raised through our fundraiser will help TTCF broaden and deepen their good work. Learn more.

About Leadership Chapel Hill-Carrboro: An intensive program designed to develop a continual pool of leadership talent for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro/Orange County community. Participants meet for an all-day retreat in April, and the class continues to meet the first Thursday of the month for a full day of workshops with today's leaders on the social, cultural, political, and economic facets of our community, as well as participate in team-building exercises and skills curriculum taught by local experts.
