• Part-time Marketing and Communications Manager

    Job Description
    Responsible for developing and implementing marketing and public relations strategies to support organizational growth objectives, this member of the IDB team ensures that organizational messages are consistent and effective. The Marketing and Communications Manager works directly with IDB account managers and program teams with the goal of growing both public and private sector support and promoting widespread knowledge of and interest in the IDB and its associated programs.

    Essential Job Functions Strategy:
    • Develops annual marketing plan in conjunction with IDB account managers and program teams, as well as an editorial calendar that focuses on meeting organizational objectives
    • Develops and maintains marketing budget
    • Bolsters partner organization relationships by encouraging cross-marketing efforts
    • Analyzes marketing performance (using tools such as Google Analytics) to maximize its effectiveness and optimize return on investment to the organization
    • Researches and understands market segments and monitors external environment Brand and Content
    • Creates, delivers, edits, maintains, and optimizes marketing materials ensuring that there is a consistent marketing voice throughout printed and online materials that follows marketing strategies and organizational vision
    • Coordinates the dissemination of information and content according to plan/strategy via press releases, social media, email, website and, as needed, blog
    • Works with program teams to create thought leadership events and content, including research projects
    • Identifies, develops, and executes communications strategy and editorial calendar
    • Manages the IDB website design, functionality, and content in cooperation with program teams Alumni
    • Creates segmentation and content strategy for e-mail campaigns to alumni
    • Coordinates events to engage and connect with alumni
    • Coordinates company-wide participation in alumni outreach through LinkedIn groups
    • Attends IDB program activities periodically to increase knowledge of audience and curricula Conferences
    • Creates specialized marketing material based on conference audience
    • Packages and ships exhibit material for conference participation in coordination with account management team
    • Maintain and upgrades, as needed, exhibit material Sales Enablement
    • Administers company CRM and works with program teams to encourage user adoption across the organization
    • Creates, in partnership with account managers, a lead nurturing strategy
    • Develops, qualifies, and nurtures nascent leads for seamless transition to account management team using drip campaigns and other techniques

    Degree from a four-year college or university Proficiency in digital marketing Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills Marketing research and content development experience Press release writing /public relations experience Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organization Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Physical ability to set up exhibit space Other Skills/Abilities
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with many different groups
    • Strong organizational, project management, and work prioritization skills
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher
    • Experience with graphic design software
    • Experience with a CRM a plus
