Chapel Hill, NC –  In partnership with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Garner Chamber of Commerce, and the Haywood Chamber of Commerce, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce has launched the Carolina Chamber Export Assistance Center (CCEAC).  The CCEAC is designed to assist businesses by streamlining the processing of electronic export documents for international trade, including certificates of origin, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of free sale.

“The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce has joined the Carolina Chamber Export Assistance Center to offer our members best-in-class service to electronically process documents and simplify a crucial step in the export process for North Carolina companies. Increasing exports of North Carolina products creates a strong, positive economic impact that grows jobs and sustains our businesses, said Adrienne Cole, president and CEO of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.

“The Garner Chamber is committed to the growth of North Carolina exports and our partnering with other Chambers across the state to form the Carolina Chamber Export Assistance Center, which is just one way we are working to make the export process a little bit easier. This partnership speeds up the process for exporters needing to have their documents reviewed and certified by a local Chamber of Commerce,” commented Neal Padgett, president of the Garner Chamber of Commerce.

“The Haywood Chamber of Commerce is excited to be a partner with the Carolina Chamber Export Assistance Center in providing our members the convenience of electronic processing of export documents.  Without the assistance and expertise of this partnership of North Carolina Chambers, we would not be able to offer this valuable service to our members,” said CeCe Hipps, president of the Haywood Chamber of Commerce.

According to the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), “North Carolina businesses exported over $30 billion in merchandise to international markets in 2015, and North Carolina exports have increased by more than 40 percent in the past decade.”

Increasing the exportation of North Carolina products and services is a top priority of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce.  For more information about the Carolina Chambers Export Assistance Center, visit chamberexport.com.
