    Leaders from Chapel Hill, NC and University of North Carolina
    Travel to Boulder and Denver, Colorado for Inter-City Visit
     
    Community and business leaders from the greater Chapel Hill, NC community, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will travel to Boulder and Denver, Colorado and spend three days learning about key issues and meeting with key leaders in Boulder.
     
    The purpose of the visit is to convene leaders of the greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro community to learn from the experiences of another community, better understand the assets and opportunities of our own community, and to build relationships among participants.

    WHEN: Sunday, September 25 through Tuesday, September 27
    WHERE: Boulder and Denver, CO
     
    During this year’s visit to Boulder, visiting leaders hope to glean knowledge from their Colorado counterparts on key issues such as transit, economic development, placemaking, town & gown collaboration, and coalition building.
     
    The Partnership for a Sustainable Community, the charitable arm of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, has been coordinating this visit with the help of the Boulder Chamber, University of Colorado Boulder, the Boulder Convention & Visitors Bureau, the City of Boulder, among others.  In recent history, the Partnership has organized inter-city visits to Madison, WI (2006); Ann Arbor, MI (2008); Asheville, NC (2010); Bloomington, IN (2012); and Greenville, SC and Athens, GA (2014).
