    Chamber Announces Finalists for Business Excellence Awards and 97.9 The Hill People’s Choice Awards

    Chapel Hill, NC: Recognizing the very best in business, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce announced the finalists for the fourth annual Business Excellence Awards (BEAs) and the 97.9 The Hill People’s Choice Awards.

    “Voting has ended, the people have spoken, and we have 105 terrific finalists across 25 award categories for the Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards and the 97.9 The Hill People’s Choice Awards,” said Aaron Nelson, President and CEO of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce.
    • The Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards features 30 finalists across 10 categories, including “Best New Business of the Year,” “Business Woman of the Year,” and the “Innovation Award.” View the finalists for the Business Excellence Awards
    • The 97.9 The Hill People’s Choice Awards, which the Chamber co-sponsors with 97.9 The Hill, features 75 finalists across 15 categories, including “Best Eats,” “Best Drinks,” and “Best Shopping.” View the finalists for the 97.9 The Hill People's Choice Awards
    Winners for both awards programs will be announced at the Business Excellence Awards – a dazzling red carpet awards ceremony complete with a cocktail reception, awards ceremony, entertainment, and after-party. This celebration of local business is happening on May 18th at the Paul Green Theatre (PlayMakers) in Chapel Hill and will feature The Monti’s Jeff Polish as emcee. Tea Cup Gin will deliver a live performance and guests will have the opportunity to take their photo in the ZimZoom Photo Booth.
