Ford Foundation names Aaron Nelson a national Regionalism and Sustainable Development Fellow

On Friday, April 25, the Ford Foundation named Aaron Nelson a national Regionalism and Sustainable Development Fellow. Aaron is Chamber president and CEO and Foundation executive director. Throughout the next 12 months, Aaron will join a group of chamber and economic development executives from across the country and meet with leaders in the field of sustainable economic growth and prosperity to develop a regional action plan to implement in our community.

Community Success Forum: Our Water, Our Economic Future—Regional Cooperation, The Next Stage

April 03, 2008 — As the Triangle struggles to recover from an exceptional drought, join local leaders at the 2008 Community Success Forum to learn what we can do as a community to conserve water. Get informed about growth’s impact on water usage and how other parts of the country have dealt with extended water shortages by sharing resources and being innovative. Attendees will hear from a host of well-known speakers including a panel discussion by local elected officials regarding plans to address future water needs.
